I would like to be able to type in advising notes to the student's electronic file and save them. We are using a PeopleSoft product, but the advising module has not yet been rolled out so we have no such capability yet. What are others using? Purchasing a new campus wide system is not an option.

What do you need to be able to do that would make your academic advising/adminstrative work more manageable?
Assume for a moment that time, knowledge, and resources are not at issue. What do you do "by hand" that you can envision could be done digitally? What do you wish you could do that you can't do but you think can be done?
Do you find this valuable?

You may have noticed that we have attracted some vendors, notably AdvisorTrac and Starfish Solutions. This is an excellent connection between our brain blow out of "things we want to see in the first advising management system" and the people who have the potential to actually put such a product out there for us to buy. There has also been some interest on Twitter in our list. So make sure to add things to the list if you don't see your hopes an dreams represented. Where's "the list?" See AMS Specs.
